Christmas in Sunriver, Day 1
December 22, 2007
Fresh off the Everyday Photography press is some new shots of our silly afternoon ingenuity. When we learned that our Christmas plans involved staying at our parent’s Sunriver house for a few days, I got imaginative. I figured, hey, I like snowboarding. And it’s going to be snowy over there. But who wants to pay $66 for a Bachelor lift ticket whenever the urge arises? My parents have a large yard at the SR house – I was going to build my own mini “terrain park.” So I set out to put together a rail (2×4’s and vinyl guttering, under $15!) and then we put together a jump.
Okay, so it wasn’t amazing. But I’d argue that it’s pretty neat for 2 hours worth of work and $15. I’m starting to become semi-confident on a rail! Here’s some of the fun:
